With all its features it does seem the PS3 is better value.
However the 360 has a nice range of SKU's that will appeal to all and the cheapest one is a bargain.
If your not going to go online and you want to play multiplat titles that are equal or slightly better (overall) than a console that is more than twice the price then the choice is obvious.....
Then again if your into blu-ray movies and Sony exclusives then you cant really go wrong.
Just call me Dad! - cant remember that particular code but do remember having to input 8 digit/letter codes as a level select for Spectrum games along time ago.....

How many people on these threads rave on about the new 'Team ICO' game or that unrivalled game the 'BBC' man saw?
With nothing to go on i believe people are setting themselves up for dissapointment.
Resident Evil5 done it well - an announcement, a trickle of screenshots - a trailer......just to wet the appetite and for people to get a heads up on whats coming without overdoing it.
Im sure you get an achievement in Fable2 for taking down a bunny rabbit (just turn safety mode off).
PETA - whoever next! Weight Watchers annouce that Lara Croft doesnt look fit in Tomb Raider because she's an adventuring lass but because she has a 'thing' for their yummy cake bars......
It seems that to get 'back in the race' so to speak then Sony would be prudent to cut the price.
However,will the shareholders be happy at the new profit figures if Sony start leaking money again.
Sony usually have an excellent business model - but with the recession biting so hard its gonna take one hell of a big decision either way......
Even though im sure MS hasnt annonouced all its line up for 09 - the true 'big guns' arent all that awe inspiring....
Halo Wars - should be solid
Alan Wake - could be a classic or fail big time
Halo3 ODST - should be a real biggy
Apart from these and a few 'average' titles - Ninja Blade etc i dont think it will match the clasic year of 07.
To dominate you need 3 or 4 AAA games whilst the 'opposition' has fewer.With Sonys potential lin...
But Fable2 as game of the year? Not from me.
Not enough variety in areas,items and creatures was sad.
Also the menu interface was annoying and the repetition with the crowds got a tad boring - everything else though was pretty decent,especially the combat.
A solid 4/5 from me..........
Coming into this generation both Sony and Microsoft were touting their hardware as all powerful....
They even went so far to say that consumers would buy THEIR consoles and the Nintendo Wii would only be bought to supplement their gaming expereince and nothing more.......
Nintendo come out of the blocks and race ahead of the field with a machine which is basically a Gamecube with a gimmick and Sony and Microsoft are left scratching their heads over this!

Installed LOTR BFME2 and it works like a dream.

Awesome machine but Sony realeased the PLaystation shortly afterward and with an excellent marketing campaign (targeting the PS at 16 - 30 year olds,the people with disposable income and making it fashionable) kinda blew the Saturn away.
Perhaps the more mature gamer doesnt like the 'avatar' thing whereas the younger ones do like the idea?
Perhaps some feedback on this ^^^^ so we can work out where everyone sits - just an idea!
Perhaps your comment is true however nobody tweaks and optimises games so they play fantastically like Bungie.
Just because MS announced it just a few months ago doesnt mean it hasnt been in development for longer - thus maybe not rushed.
Also MS's new policy is to announce updates/games closer to their release as opposed to the old ways of announcing games which are 3 years off!

Well,to me,using the new XBE will be welcome.
And being forced to creater an avatar? - Im sure that people will enjoy customising and tweaking till their hearts content.
Sure the 'Blades' were great but if MS really does believe that the NXE is awesome and they've put so much effort into it then i have faith in them......
The respective R&D teams of each company will have been hard at work ever since the launch of this gen's systems.
My best guess is MS and Nintendo 2011 followed very closely by Sony in 2012.
